Foals @ Lollapalooza

Foals was the first band that I saw on Saturday, who played the Citi Stage (easily the best of the smaller stages) wasn’t sure what to expect from the band based on my limited exposure to them, but it certainly wasn’t the combination of tight, energetic, and somewhat dancey math rock that they played. The guitar work was ace, each guitarist played their own unique style and they all meshed together perfectly. It makes perfect sense that Battles selected the band to open for them, as their sounds are very comparable. Definitely a good band to see live, if you have the chance.

did they do the whole standing sideways thing?
they never look at the crowd, only thing I don’t like about them. The album is rather good though

I give the guitarist props for not fucking up despite how drunk he was
and battles was breath taking.
I will definitely go to lolla this summer.
