What a Wonderful (Mac)World
January 9, 2007

I’ve been checking the updates every few seconds on various mac sites and I’ll add my updates to this blog as they come in. For now, what we have is a freakin’ awesome iPhone that has won me over in every possible way. I want one and fast! Widescreen Video iPod + Phone + Breakthrough Internet Communicator = iPhone. So many cool things about it, like for example when you’re listening music and you get a call the music fades out ever so smoothly. Does email… very well. Orders up to 4000 lattes from Starbucks. Coverflow! Live Satellite Photos from Google Maps. Runs Safari (tabbed browsiing looks nice). Beautiful scrolling-through-fullscreen-pictures-with-touchscreen technology. Visual Voicemail. The Conference Calling is amazing. Widgets! Did I mention it runs OS X, cause it does.
Follow the jump for tons more info and MP3s.
Here’s some mores stuff (This paragraph is copied straight from TUAW.com):
DESIGN: 3.5″ screen. 160 ppi screen. One button on the front. “Home”. Really thin, thinner than any smart phone. 11.6mm. Ring/silent and volume controls on the side. 2MP camera on the back. Top has a 3.5mm headseat jack, SIM card for GSM, extra speakers on bottom with a BUILT-IN MIC (I am so glad I haven’t bought that mic yet), lots of “stuff you can’t see”, a proximity sensor built into the phone, when taking phone call it turns off the display and touch sensor, ambient light sensor to save power, accelerometer, to sense when you switch from portrait to landscape and… (NERDGASM!)…you can “touch your music.” (I’m not sure if this causes blindness.)
